Gasoline Calibration · Level 2 Practice

Gasoline Practice.
Ship your first Stage 1 on real ECU files.

9 chapters. Edit torque, ignition, fuel and air on a real gasoline ECU file — turbocharged and NASP — until the calibration is dyno-verified at +21%. Scrambler tool included — 50 protected files per month.

Curriculum

9 chapters. One calibrated file across four systems.

Torque → ignition → fuel → air — edited in order on real ECU firmware, not a simulation. Every chapter moves you closer to a complete Stage 1 tune, verified on the dyno.

Ch 00
Intro

Before you touch the ECU

Workflow setup, safety protocol, the gasoline-specific guardrails — knock margin and lambda windows — that keep your edits dyno-ready, not warranty-bait.

Ch 01
Torque · Firmware

Torque — Stage 1 edits

Driver Wish, torque limiters, Volumetric Efficiency. Open the maps and edit them — the torque structure your Fundamental knowledge now points to directly in firmware.

Ch 02
Ignition · Firmware

Ignition — Stage 1 edits

Base, Min, Optimal, Noise. The four ignition map families. Where to add timing safely, where to pull it, how to read the knock-control logic before you change anything.

Ch 03
Fuel · Firmware

Fuel — Stage 1 edits

LCP and LfDW. The fuel calculation path from torque request to injector pulse. Keeping lambda inside safe limits when you raise torque demand at WOT.

Ch 04
Air · Firmware

Air — Stage 1 edits

Compressor limit, EGT, mass flow. The air-path ceiling that decides how much torque the engine actually sees — and where the +21% comes from on a turbo car.

Ch 05
Practice

Practical section

The full Stage 1 workflow end-to-end on a real ECU file. Same methodology, same maps — applied in real time from stock dump to flash-ready file.

Ch 06
Dyno

Results from the dyno

Real dyno results from the +21% strategy on a real car. Before/after torque curves, AFR plots, knock counter trace — proof the four-system order works as a system.

Ch 07
Cert

Certification prep

Final review and certification exam. Pass and your name appears on certifiedtuners.com — the public registry clients use to verify real calibrators.

Ch 08
Extension

NASP bonus + ASAP2 walkthrough

Naturally aspirated calibration most Stage 1 courses skip entirely. Plus ASAP2 / DAMOS usage walkthrough when documentation is available — extends the toolkit to platforms you’ll hit in client work.

The gasoline guardrail

Knock margin and lambda safety aren’t checks — they’re the calibration.

Diesel calibrators have a torque limiter to bump into. Gasoline calibrators have two windows that can’t be missed: detonation on the timing side and lean failure on the fuel side. Practice teaches the four-system order — torque → ignition → fuel → air — so every edit you make lands inside both windows before you ever hit the dyno. The +21% is the result. The framework is what you actually ship.

Scrambler included

€500/month in tool value, included with the course.

Scrambler retail price: €10 per protected file. Practice students get 50 protected files per month with monthly reset, while the course is active.

For a standard practicing tuner shipping ~50 files per month, that’s €500/month in tool value covered. The course pays for itself in ~73 days from Scrambler savings alone — before you count a single paid Stage 1 calibration.

The real value is the complete gasoline calibration skill. Scrambler is the bonus that makes the math obvious.

What’s included

Everything to ship your first paid Stage 1.

  • 9 chapters of step-by-step Stage 1 calibration across all four gasoline systems — torque, ignition, fuel, air.
  • Real ECU firmware edits on Bosch, Continental, Delphi, Denso platforms — actual dumps from production cars, not simulations.
  • Turbo + NASP coverage — chapter 08 NASP extension most Stage 1 courses skip entirely. Plus ASAP2 / DAMOS usage walkthrough when documentation is available.
  • Dyno-verified +21% on a real car — before/after torque curves, AFR, knock counter trace.
  • Scrambler tool — 50 protected files per month, €500/month tool value. Practice tier unlock
  • Certificate on completion — verified on certifiedtuners.com.
  • Lifetime access + Monthly Q&A with Thomas.

From staring at WinOLS to shipping calibrations

★★★★★

In 3 months I learned more than in 3 years of working on my own. This is truly a high-quality, concentrated product packed with unique and practical information.

★★★★★

Before the course: open WinOLS, load a firmware file, stare at incomprehensible numbers and graphs, close it thinking “I’ll figure it out someday.” After the course: solid understanding of the process. First money already earned.

Common questions

Before you enroll

Do I need Gasoline Fundamental before Practice?

Yes. Practice assumes you already understand Driver Wish, Volumetric Efficiency, LCP and the four ignition map families at the theory level from Fundamental. Without that foundation, the firmware edits won’t make sense. If you haven’t taken Fundamental, the Essentials bundle (F+P) costs €1,840 — saves €320 vs separate enrollment.

What firmware files do I work with?

Real ECU dumps, not simulations. You open actual files from gasoline platforms — Bosch, Continental, Delphi, Denso — find the maps using the methodology, apply the four-system Stage 1 strategy, and produce a file ready for the dyno. Each chapter walks through a complete case end-to-end.

Will the +21% strategy work on both turbo and NASP?

Yes. The four-system order (torque → ignition → fuel → air) applies universally. Turbo platforms have more headroom from boost. NASP platforms often benefit more from ignition-timing optimization because stock NASP tunes are conservative — chapter 08 has a dedicated NASP extension most Stage 1 courses skip.

Is the Scrambler tool really included?

Yes. Practice students get 50 protected files per month with monthly reset, while the course is active. Retail price is €10 per protected file — that’s €500/month in tool value. The course recovers its cost in about 73 days from Scrambler savings alone.

How long does Gasoline Practice take?

About 1 month at ~1 hour per day across 9 chapters. Self-paced with lifetime access. Most Practice students ship their first paid Stage 1 calibration before finishing the course.

Save when you bundle

Take Practice as part of a bundle.

Fundamental + Practice together is €320 cheaper than separately. Fundamental + Practice + Mastery saves €1,170.
